The finished conversion is the important part
Vantage builds British panel-van motorhomes, commonly on Peugeot Boxer bases. A registration lookup may describe only the Peugeot. Make sure the quotation records the Vantage conversion and its full model name.
Specifications can differ between apparently similar vans
Use the build sheet, purchase invoice and photographs to record the layout and fitted equipment. Do not assume another Vantage of the same length has the same heating, electrical system or factory options.
Value the motorhome, not an empty Boxer
Find examples with the same conversion, age, mileage and condition. Retain evidence for the declared value and ask whether the policy pays market value or offers an agreed figure. Check whether fixed equipment is included within that figure.
List alterations accurately
Declare solar panels, lithium batteries, an awning, tow bar, racks, wheels, suspension changes or engine tuning when asked. Changes made before you bought the motorhome still need to be described.
Seats and carrying weight
State the current number of approved belted seats. Check the maximum authorised mass and available payload after accessories have been fitted. If the vehicle was replated, keep the supporting documents.
Everyday driving and longer trips
Say if the Vantage is used for commuting or as a daily vehicle. For travel abroad, compare trip duration, territorial limits and breakdown recovery. At home, give the actual overnight location and comply with stated security conditions.
