It looks like a van, but the conversion matters
Globecar makes panel-van motorhomes associated with the Pössl group. Roadscout, Globescout and Campscout names are found among the range. A registration lookup may return Fiat Ducato or Citroën Relay details without showing the completed leisure conversion.
Use the whole model name
Find the derivative on the build label or handbook. Length, bed layout and roof design can differ even where two vans look much the same from outside. If the provider’s list stops at the base van, ask it to record the Globecar model manually.
Do not use a bare-van valuation
Compare completed Globecars of the same age, length, mileage and condition. Include factory options and important later additions. An awning, solar panels, extra batteries, a tow bar, cycle carrier or upgraded security may need declaring.
How is it used between holidays?
Some owners use a panel-van motorhome as everyday transport. Include commuting or business journeys if they apply, and give realistic mileage. Hiring the vehicle to someone else requires separate cover and should not be assumed to fall within normal personal use.
Imported vans and European travel
State left-hand drive and import status correctly. For trips abroad, check territorial limits and the permitted length of one journey. Breakdown cover may restrict older vehicles or impose its own dimensions and weight limits.
Read the contents and theft wording
Permanently fitted equipment, removable camping kit and personal belongings can be treated differently. Check what must be locked away and whether bicycles or equipment carried outside are included. Follow any tracker, alarm or steering-lock condition exactly.
