A registration search can sometimes identify the chassis manufacturer rather than the completed conversion. Make sure the displayed make and model describe your finished motorhome. If they do not, correct the details or contact the service rather than choosing an approximate vehicle.
Use consistent answers
Have the current value, maximum authorised mass, annual mileage, overnight storage address and details of security equipment ready. Declare modifications and imported or left-hand-drive vehicles accurately. Compare quotations using the same information so differences in price and cover are meaningful.
Look beyond the headline premium
Read the excesses, windscreen limit, European-use allowance, personal-belongings cover and any tracker or storage condition. Breakdown assistance may have separate limits for the motorhome's size, age and weight.
