Credo, Charisma and Liner are very different vehicles

Concorde builds premium integrated motorhomes, from relatively compact models to Liners that are closer in scale to a coach. Give the exact model, year, chassis, maximum authorised mass and value. The marque alone does not describe the vehicle well enough.

Heavy models require the right driving licence

Read the current weight plate rather than relying on a sales advert. In Great Britain, a motorhome above 3,500kg normally needs category C1 entitlement up to 7,500kg and category C above that. Check every proposed driver. A replated vehicle should have matching documentary evidence.

High values should be supported

Compare the same Concorde range, age, specification and condition. Significant factory options can affect the figure, while the cost of later work does not automatically add pound for pound to market value. Keep the purchase invoice and recent photographs and ask how a total loss would be settled. If agreed value is available, find out what evidence it requires and how often it must be renewed.

Imported and left-hand-drive examples

Many Concordes in Britain began life in continental Europe. State that the vehicle is left-hand drive where applicable and do not select a convenient UK derivative merely to finish an online form. The VIN, certificate of conformity, UK registration documents and original specification can help the provider identify it correctly.

Security conditions must be workable

Give the genuine overnight storage location. If cover depends on an alarm, immobiliser, tracker or secure compound, check the exact wording. A tracker may need an active subscription, and a storage condition may apply whenever the motorhome is not in use.

Glass, equipment and repairs

Read the limit and excess for the large integrated windscreen and find out how habitation glazing is handled. Declare levelling systems, solar equipment, additional batteries, satellite systems, tow gear and other changes. If access to a specialist repairer matters to you, ask how repair authorisation works before buying the policy.

European touring in a large motorhome

Check the permitted countries and maximum single-trip duration. Breakdown assistance must accept the Concorde’s full length, height and plated weight; ordinary car recovery wording is not enough. Also check the arrangements for repatriation if a suitable repair cannot be completed abroad.

Compare the parts of cover you may actually use

Look beyond the premium at excesses, personal belongings, awnings, alternative accommodation and transport home. Use a realistic annual mileage and declare business use, paid hire or long periods overseas rather than assuming they are included.
